Truth: I’m tired of caring…

…but the moment I stop caring for my fellow man, I’ve failed to be compassionate and proactive as my faith in Jesus Christ requires me to be.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

You get my point, right?  Passages like these are the reason that I believe that Christians ought to fight for justice on behalf of the widowed, orphaned, poor and alienated.  To ignore them or osctracize them would be antithetical to the very nature of God.

I think know I just need to devote some time to prayer and supplication and rest in His peace.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
